The development and survivor of eggs and larvae of

Haemonchus contortus in environment

SUMMAR Y

Surveyed the development and survivor of eggs and larvae of H. contortus in

environment, the result showed that: In natural condition, eggs of this nematode hatched

the first larvae (Ll) during 2- 4 days (in summer) and 3- 5 days (in winter); after 4- 5 days (in

summer) anti 5- 6 days (in winter), the infectious larvae (L3) was created. The time of

development of eggs and survivor of L3 in surface soil tlepended on humidity of soil. The

suitable humitlity of soil for eggs and larvae were 10 - 20%. Both of high or low humitlity of soil

were not good to ihe eggs and larvae.

The eggs not hatched in the water on pasture. The L3 eoultl survive during 3- 4 days in the

water on pasture and could be infected by catties.
