SITUATION OF SUPPLY AND USE OF HEALTH

CARE SERVICES IN TRADITIONAL HOSPITAL, HA

GIANG PROVINCE

SUMMARY

Method: A retrospective data from a report of

Traditional Hospital in 2013 were analyzed on

organizing, human resource and health care activities

of Traditional Hospital o f Ha Giang province in 2013

as well as documents o f structure of organization of

this hospital. Results: - A health worker to bed ratio

was 1.1 (According to Circular No. 08. Hospital level

II); The percentage of health workers working in a

clinical field were 73.3%, the percentage of health

workers in a sub-clinical field was 15 2%, the rate of

health workers working in a management field was

low (11.4%), a doctor to nurse ratio, a doctor to

technician ratio, and a doctor to assis ratio were

unbalance (According to regulations issued by the

MoH, this ratio was 1/3 but now in this hospital it was

1/5 ; the rate of the university pharmacist /pharm acist

was not good (1/3.5).

- Currently,the Traditional Hospital may be

capable of performing 549 technical categories, while

60 technical categories can not be done.

- Most professional norms were achieved and

exceeded than a plan. The health care rate reached

112%; inpatient treatment rate reached 101%; the

outpatient treatment rate reached 136%, the bed

occupancy rate was 114.3%, the number of times of

the test was 103%. Number of times of ultrasound

was 174%, the number of radiographs was 102% and

the total number o f surgenes was 133 4% of the plan,

the total number of times the procedure was 106%,

the referral rate was 4.9%.

- The rate of bed occupancy was over 100%, an

average duration of stay in hospital was 15 days , no

postoperative infections, no patients wrth 5 obstethc

complications, no patients with tetanus and decubitus

ulcers.
