Editorial

Recent Innovations in Material Science and Energy Engineering

This proceedings published by World Scientific consists of ninety-seven best

papers presented at the 2014 International Conference on Materials Science

and Energy Engineering (CMSEE2014), which was held in Sanya,

Hainan, China during December 12-14, 2014. The CMSEE2014 was hosted

by American Society of Science and Engineering (ASSE) and published by

World Scientific.

CMSEE2014 covers a wide range of fundamental studies, technical

innovations and industrial applications in material science and energy

engineering. There are two main goals for the conference: First, to provide a

comprehensive and global forum for the participants to exchange scientific

research ideas; second, to stimulate the interests and ambition of participants

for further researches in the future.

The conference consists of keynote speeches, oral sessions and poster

sessions. We were pleased to have more than 130 participants from different

countries and regions in the world including China, Canada, Japan, Korea,

Taiwan, Turkey, Egypt and Russia.

All papers submitted to the conference were subject to a rigorous

peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers. Acceptance was

subject to a satisfactory review and on completion of the reviewers’

recommended and mandatory changes and final examination by the guest editor.

It is expected to be a key publication related to advances in materials science

and technology for industrial engineers and academic researchers. The

CMSEE2014 delegates will be sent information by email on how to access

the issue.

On behalf of the CMSEE2014 organizing committee, I would like to take

this opportunity to express my appreciation to all the authors who submitted

their manuscripts to this book. And, finally, I would like to express my deepest

and sincere gratitude to Dr. Yan H. Ng from World Scientific for his elaborate
