Summary

THE IMPROVEMENT OF ACTIVITIES DAILY LIVING OF PATIENTS WITH CERVICAL

DISC HERNIATION RESULTED BY PHYSICAL THERAPY AND REHABILITATION

The consequence of cervical disc herniation often lasts long that impact on patient's activity daily

living and life quality. Objectives: to evaluation the improvement of activities daily living of patients with

cervical disc herniation resulted by physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Method: A prospective study on 30

patients with herniated cervical disc who were provided physiotherapy and rehabilitation. The

improvement of activity daily living was assessed upon NPQ (Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire).

Results and conclusion: The physiotherapy and rehabilitation improved activity daily living of patients

with cervical disc herniation. There were no patients whose conditions were bad and rather bad after 30

days of treatment, 40% of patients' conditions were little affected and 60% of patients were medium affected.
