ACTIVITIES AMONG ENGLISH-MAJORED SOPHOMORES

AT FACULTY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES OF INDUSTRIAL

UNIVERSITY OF HO CHI MINH CITY

ABSTRACT

Online classes are applied for many schools and Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City

Because of COVID-19 impact. So that, online English speaking classes are applied for students

at FFL-IUH. Role-play activities is one of the way to learning speaking; Therefore, the aims of

research determined the advantages and disadvantages of using role-play activities in speaking

online class of English-majored sophomores at FFL-IUH. The methodology of this study is

quantitative and the data collected from 200 participants. Nevertheless, this technique has some

shortcomings when joining role-play activities in speaking online class. The difficulty was

divided into two types: objective and subjective. Further studies may investigate online

applications that support speech learning through role play
