A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
I. Knowledge: - talk about some popular sports, their likes and dislikes of sports
- talk about records the athletes made in the 22nd SEA Games
- report the result of team sports
II. Skills: - Improve students’ speaking skill
B. PROCEDURE:
I. Settlement (2'): Check Ss' attendance
II. Checking (5'): Call on Ss to ask and answer the questions in the reading
III. New lesson: Part B: SPEAKING
TEACHER'S ACTIVITIES STUDENTS' ACTIVITIES
I. Warm-up (5') Brainstorming
- Divide the class into 4 groups
- Deliver a piece of paper and a marker to each group
- Tell them in one minute, try to write down as many
words of sports they often watch in the SEA Games as
possible.
-After a minute, each group sticks their paper on the
board.
- Check the words, the spelling... with the whole class.
Lead-in: Do you do any sport?
+ Which sport do you like playing?
+ Which sport do you like watching?
+ Which sport do you hate playing or watching?
Today, we’ll talk about your likes or dislikes of
sports and the records people made in the 22nd SEA
Games
- Work in groups
- Receive a piece of paper
- Write down words of sports they often
watch in the SEA Games.

cycling, swimming, tennis, billiards,
bodybuilding, karatedo, shooting, wushu,
weightlifting, fencing, mountain biking...
