Are you looking for an effective source of power that doesn’t cause pollution or waste
natural resources? Look no further than solar energy from our sun. At the present, most
of our electricity comes from the use of coal, gas, oil or nuclear power. This power could
be provided by the sun. One percent of solar energy that reaches the Earth is enough to
provide power for total population. Many countries have already used solar energy.
Solar panels are placed on the roof of a house and people use the sun’s energy to heat
water and so on. The energy can be stored for a number of days. Therefore, on cloudy
days you can use it, too. Solar energy is a cheap, clean, effective source of power and it
doesn’t cause pollution, so it is encouraged to use this energy instead of other ones.
1. How much solar energy that reaches the Earth is enough to provide power for total
population? (0.5)
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
2. How can people get the sun’s energy? (0.5)
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………
1. Solar energy is a clean power because it doesn’t cause pollution. (0.25)
