1. Excited ( about/ at/ by) feling or showing happiness and enthsiasm
I am excited about the trip to Hawaii.
We are all excited at her decision to let us go to America.
Exciting: causing great interest or excitement
The trip to Hawaii is exciting.
Her decision to let us go to America is exciting.
2. Amused (at/ by) thinking that something is funny so that you smile or laugh.
We were all amused at his stories.
He was amused to see how seriously she took the game.
Amusing: funny and enjoyable
His stories are amusing.
She writes very amusing letters.
3. Surprised ( at/ by) felling or showing suprise
I was surprised at her attitude towards me.
We are surprised to hear the new.
Surprising: causing surprise.
It’s surprising what people will do for money.
That he will come back is quite surprsing.
4. Embarrassed (about/ at)
She’s embarrassed about her height.
He felt embarrassed at being the center of attention,
Some women are too embarrassed to consult their doctors about their health problem.
Her remark was followed by an embarrassed silence.
I’ve felt so embarrassed in my life !
Embarrassing: making you fell shy or ashamed.
It was so embarrassing having to sing in public.
Talking to a doctor about tht is so embarrassing.
It can be embarrassing for her to be treated like tht in front of other people.
5. Frustrated (at/ with) not satisfied, felling annoyed or impatient because you cannot do or
achieve what you want.
It is easy to get frustrated in this job.
They felt frustrated at the loss of progress.
Frustrating: causing you to feel annoyed and impatient because you cannot do or achieve
what you want.
