TOM TAT
Dieu tra tinh hinh dich benh va phan lap, xac dinh mot so dac tinh sinh vat hoc cua vi
khuan E.coli gay benh tieu chay a ldn con tai BSc Giang cho thay:
• Ldn con dudi 2 thang tudi mdc tieu chay va chet vdi ty le kha cao (tUdng Ung la 30,73%
va 4,42%), cao nha't d lua tudi tU 31-60 ngay (37,75%).
- Vi khuan E.coli phan lap dUdc d hau het cac mlu benh pham tU Ipn con mdc benh tieu
chay, ty le phan lap cac chiing E.coli til phu tang la 70,67% va mlu phan la 85,83%.
- Cac chiing E.coli phan lap thupc cac serotyp 08, Oin, Oi38, Oi39, Oi<n va Oi49, trong
do serotyp Ol49 chiem ty le cao nha't (31,58%) va thap nhat la 08 (5,74%).
- Dpc luc cua cac chiing vi khuan E.coli phan lap tren chupt bach deu rat manh, co
77,78% chung gay chet 100% chupt thi nghiem trong vdng 12-48 gid.

Serotyping and virulence of E. coli isolated from piglets
having white scour from Bac Giang province

SUMMARY
Epidemiological study on piglet's white scour, isolation from piglets and characterization
of E. coli in the province of Bac Giang indicated that:
- The morbidity and mortality by the white scour in piglets under 2 months old were
relatively high (30.37 and 4.42%, respectively), the highest morbidity (37.75%) was recorded
in piglets from 31 to 60 days old.
- E. coli was isolated from nearly all the diseased piglets; the isolation rate was 70.67%
from the visceral samples and 85.83% from the fecal samples.
- The isolates were found belonging to the serotypes 08, Out, Ol38, Ol39, Oi4t and Oi49,
among them serotype Ol49 was the most frequently found (31.58%) and the serotype Os was
the less one (5.74%).
• The E. coli isolates showed strong virulence as indicated by 77.78% of them killed 100%
of the white mice within 12-48 hours after inpculation.
