Getting started + listen and read

I. Objectives:

- Help pupils to master the theme of the lesson, practice listening and speaking

about an emergency.

II Preparation

- Radio + tape.

- A sub-board written on exercise 2

III. Procedure:

1. Warm up:

- Teacher introduces the theme of the

lesson.

- Gets pupils to look at the color picture

and teacher says the name of them

- Guides pupils how to do in each situation,

which require fir staid.

- Gets pupils to do in pairs.

- Guides pupils how to say in E (pupils can

say in Vietnamese and can use their

traditional way)

- Checks and helps pupils speaking.

2. Present.

- Teacher introduces the situation of the

dialogue.

- Teacher reads first and gets pupils to give

out new words.

- Guides pupils to give out the use and

meaning of them.

- Teacher reads first and gets pupils to

listen.

- Gets pupils to listen again then repeat.

* A girl has a burn on her arm.

- Wash the burn with cold water.

- Use an ice bag to ease the burn.

- Cover it with a bandage then take her to

the hospital.

* A boy has a bad cut on his leg.

- Wash the cut with alcohol then cover it

with a bandage then take him to the

hospital.

* A girl has a nosebleed.

- Raise her head behind. Use absorbent

cotton to cover her bleeding nose for some

minutes.

* A boy has a bee sting.

- Wash the sting with alcohol.
