1. Tính từ (Adjectives):

2. Trạng từ (Adverb): Tính từ + _ly  Trạng từ

Ex: bad => badly, happy => happily, quick => quickly, dangerous => dangerously, beautiful => beautifully,

skillful => skillfully, …

* Một số trường hợp đặc biệt: good => well, fast => fast, hard => hard, late => late, early => early.

* Vị trí: thường đứng cuối câu.

Ex: She speaks English well; Nam does his homework carefully;…

3. OUGHT TO (phải, nên): dùng để diễn tả một lời đề nghị, lời khuyên hoặc một bổn phận.

- Khẳng định: S + ought to + V0. Ex: You ought to phone your mother regularly.

- Phủ định: S + ought not to + V0. (ought not = oughtn't) Ex: You oughtn't to drink coffee.

- Nghi vấn: Ought + S + to V0. Ex: Ought I to meet her to say thank you?
