After three years of WTO accession, the image of Vietnam country and

Vietnamese people are increasingly atfracting attentions of international

community. Vietnam tourism has been gradually integrating into the world,

developing and obtaining recordable achievements. Nevertheless, in gener￾al, Vietnam tourism has not fully exploited market potentials and has

exposed not small number of weaknesses. The underlying causes are attrib￾uted to the following factors: inadequate infrastructure represents an

obsfacke to tourism development; poor quality of tourism products; weak

linkages between those agencies who benefit from tourism...

After recession, the global economy is in its recovery tendency. As the

result, Vietnam tourism will enjoy favorable conditions to develop. In order

to take full advantages brought about by economic recovery, it is required

for Vietnam tourism to keep on promoting investments into its infrastructure

and material facilities; to intensify marketing campaingn; to enhance quality

of tourism products; to shorten time needed to handle numerous formalities

related to visa application, customs clearance, entry and exit requirement...

Provided that all above measures are implemented in integrated manner,

Vietnam tourism would have many opportunities to accelerate its develop￾ment, contributing to overall development of national economy.
