Acknowledgments
T he task of writing these long computer books is a daunting one, and it is a process that requires significant contributions from many people who help these projects see their way to completion. For
this project, I need to thank the entire team at Wiley, including Sharon Nash and Chris Webb, as well
as all the myriad others involved in preparing, designing, and producing the books there.
I also need to thank my family for their patience during the writing of the book. In particular, my husband,
Martin, and son, Derek, deserve credit for tolerating the time I had to devote to the preparation of this
book. They took up much of the housework and meal preparations.
I’d also like to thank each of the contributors who wrote a portion of the book or contributed to a
specific part.
I’d also like to thank the crew at Macromedia who work so diligently to produce such a superb application. Special thanks go to Heather Hollaender, who always made sure I had the resources I needed, and
to Scott Unterberg for the privilege of being included in the beta testing.
