SUMMARY

It is necessary to define antibody titer and protection rate after vaccinating chickens in

the field. This helps us in identifying the moment of revaccinating in order to ensure

capacity of chickens' immune response depending on each local place.

Antibody titer and protection rate of chicken flocks vaccinated with H5N1 vaccine in

Phu Tho province increased gradually and peaked at 60 days post vaccination (antibody

titer reached 5.31 log2 and protection rate 86.67%) then the antibody titer tended to

reduce. At 150 days post vaccination, antibody titer remained 3.591og2 and protection

rate 31.9%. . ,
